ModMyRide — Terms + Creator Agreement
Version v1-2026-10-24 — the version stored on your account when you accept it at signup. Creating an account requires accepting this agreement; publishing a build requires this acceptance on file.
1. What ModMyRide is
ModMyRide lets you upload a photo of your car, preview modifications as an edit of that photo, get a build sheet of parts, sell products printed with your finished build in the marketplace, and send builds to partner shops for installation. Renders are concept previews, not fitment guarantees. Part prices on build sheets are catalog estimates.
2. Selling products — you keep 70%
When a product printed with your build sells in the marketplace — apparel, mugs, canvas prints, posters, any product the platform offers — the sale splits 70% to you, the creator, and 30% to ModMyRide. That 30% is the platform's cut for running the marketplace. There is no membership fee and no monthly fee: the platform earns only when transactions happen.
3. Parts — affiliate commissions belong to ModMyRide
Parts on a build sheet are sold by third-party retailers (places like Tire Rack, Fitment Industries, CARiD, Amazon, and eBay) through links from this platform. ModMyRide may earn affiliate commissions on those sales, and ALL affiliate commissions on parts belong to ModMyRide, 100%. Creators earn nothing on parts — not on parts in builds they created, and not on parts in builds other people copied from them. Copying a build earns its creator credit and product sales, never a cut of parts.
4. Installs — install commissions belong to ModMyRide
When a build is sent to a partner shop through the platform ("Get it installed"), the platform may earn a commission on the install work. ALL install commissions belong to ModMyRide, 100%. Creators earn nothing on installs. Labor itself is paid between the driver and the shop; the platform's commission is the platform's revenue for sending the work.
5. The platform's percentage — the whole list
ModMyRide takes a percentage of every transaction conducted on the platform, and the percentages are exactly the ones stated in this agreement: 30% of product sales (section 2), 100% of parts affiliate commissions (section 3), and 100% of install commissions (section 4). There are no other cuts and no hidden fees taken from your product earnings. If these percentages ever change, the change ships as a new version of this agreement and applies from when you accept that version.
6. Your designs stay yours
Builds and designs you create belong to you. By publishing a build or listing a product, you give ModMyRide a license to display your build and to sell products printed with it through ModMyRide only. Public previews are watermarked with your name, and clean full-resolution renders are never distributed — a product buyer receives the physical product, never a downloadable clean file. If your work appears on the platform without your permission, contact us for takedown (the contact is in the site footer).
7. Plain talk about this agreement
This is a click-to-agree platform agreement: you accept it when you create your account, and the version you accepted and the time you accepted it are stored on your account. It is written in plain language on purpose, so the money rules are impossible to miss. It is a platform agreement, not legal advice — ModMyRide is not your lawyer, and nothing here replaces advice from one.
